Context and Challenge
Kuninstituut Melly is a contemporary art house located in a former school building on Witte de Withstraat, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. It is a center for contemporary art with a mission of curating and exhibiting international art exhibitions. Kuninstituut Melly approached studio 75B with an assignment of designing their 2024 Annual Report.
Solution and Design
The concept of the book revolves around uneven geometric shapes, representing the unpredictability and experimentation at the core of Melly’s practice. The book draws attention from its Index, where each shape and color correspond to a chapter of the book, creating a visual rhythm.
